how much boost
i heard of a guy around my area that had a stock ITR in a civic hatch amnd was at the track tryin to blow it up for the new motor going in, lets just say after multiple boost cranks he was running 28lbs and it didnt come close to poping
It's not psi that is the limiting factor, it's moreso the power output and the tune. There are multiple 350-ish whp R engines running safely. My bone stock JDM engine Civic ran 385whp safely so that gives you an idea of what can be done with the right parts. Search around the forced induction section and you'll find alot more info.

n/a doesn't need any boost</TD></TR></TABLE>
Go buy a scooby or evo instead.

at 450cc and a really good tune you could run 10 pounds but there is always that chance. Me personally would run at 6-8 pounds TOPS. Dont risk it man just save your money and build it up.

haha on 450s? youre smokin some goood stuff.
to the OP: i wouldnt boost it. if you havent looked into it enough to know whats safe, youre better off not doing it at all. PSI is not what limits the motor, its HP limited

you're limited to 300-350whp with injectors that small

Push whatever psi to reach your goals, keep them reasonable as its a stock motor, a lot of them are running 300-350 without issues, dont cheap out on the parts and specially on the tuning.
i´ve been running boost for 1 1/2 years without issues (so far

If you don't have the money to build up the motor and don't have the knowledge to put it together then don't do it.
Do some research. This does not mean ask stupid questions of "how much boost can a type r handle"
Go look up how forced induction works, how timing effects power, how to tune. Go download AEM and mess with the settings. You will relize that there are hundreds of options that you will not know. So go start learning.
