i own a 93 civic esi ( 1.6 sohc vtec ) when i am driving it after 30mins or so and put the foot down and engage the vtec the rpm needle bounces up and down wildly and it seems the power delvery is sticky! any ideas what is wrong

 

i had the exact same problem in my 92 si...

take off the distributer cap and there should be a wire in there that jus came off of its lil clip thing... should take like 5-10 min. wat its doin is only makin contact wit the clip thing when u hit a bump of sometthin so its bouncin around in there.

i had the problem too, except the wire on the alt. was not tight
