installeda a fully built head now the car runs funny.
installed a fully built b16 head on my b 16. first time i installed it the head gasket leaked because the arp head studs came loose. so i took it apart and got the head resurfaced and sanded the block to make sure it was even and clean. this time i torqued the studs down 10 lbs. to make sure it was tight on the block and also made sure all of them were even. assembled everything and the motor started without a problem and no check engines. the motor sounded like i was running really rich, sounds really aggresive and kinda has a popping noise. i thought that it just might be extra fuel. so i took it for a test drive. i decided to see if vtec would hit hard so i gunned it and vtec was weak. once i came to a complete stop the car died. i tried to start it and it didn't want to start. so i cranked it and gave it gas then it started but the idle was really low.
need some ideas on what might be going on. thanks for any info.
also i am using ctr cams. would that make my car slower because now its a built head and i need bigger cams? planning on boosting soon so i really want to fix this problem so i can move on to the next step. thanks guys.
