I took my car last nite at the track with 24.5x8.5x13 slicks and ran this horrible
time and I also preload the car due to its stock axles my car also makes good power it dynoed 446WHP and 288ftlbs. of torque come on now i should be at least in the 11's with this power and my mph is pretty damn low, what could be wrong with the car? and I also got a horrible 2.2 60'foot with slicks and R1 coilovers, could the slicks maybe too big for the car, could be the coilovers be crapped? Even with a horrible 60'foot the car should at least do decent time not a damn 13.5's and also I launched at 7500 rpm and the car boggs down on the launch, I know this is a pretty long and stupid question but i need help and inputs from the pros thanks.

 

Drivers error? Maybe you just need some practice.

 

Iv'e seen a lot of cars with a horrible 60'foot with less power than mines and same car and still did better than a 13.5's I don't think its the driving.

 

You are not making 446WHP with a 110mph trap, sorry.

 

I got a dyno sheet, I wouldn't have post or lie about this problem.

 

My eg w/drag radials, maybe 300hp,shifting at 6k,launching at 3500,ran 13.7 @107.Even with questionable driving you should be in the 12's with 400+ hp.

 

I had been fighting something similar, it turned out to be a boost controler and wastegate spring issue. You might want to check that out.

I ran 13.4 @ 109mph with 2.16 60ft ek 260whp with drag radials 195 50 15. Sounds pretty low since im only putting down 260 whp. Does my time sound right guys?

Times in my sig were in a heavy 4 door with 400hp, and bald dr's.

 

I went 121 mph with a STOCK B16 at 10 psi on a 60 trim T3/T4.

That much power you should be trapping at least 125-130 mph.

 

400+ you should easily be in the 120's

what rpm is your redline, and what rpm are you at when your cross the traps. also have you datalogged the runs?

My B16 Have 222.8 hp to the wheel and i run 13.0@107 mph with horrible 1.9- 60' slicks 13x9x22
I hope run 12.7-12.8 with 1.7-1.8 - 60'

 

You're not using any type of launch control? Thats a good reason as to why your 60' is no good. How are you launching since you're not using a 2-step? Just holding the throttle at a certain rpm? Maybe you have a boost leak issue when you are racing, are you sure you are making 14lbs when you are racing? You should check your logs and see how much boost your were at.

 

I trapped 110 with a stock b16 on 7 psi.
