well, I have a LS hydro trans and I'm thinking about swapping in GSR 3rd and 4th gear. a set of B16 syncros are readily available for me at a reasonable price and thinking about buying them. will this work. Thanks in Advance!!!!!

Nope, 3rd and 4th GSR/LS synchros are smaller than the B16/R ones.

I thought so too. Thanks again

what difference in size are you referring to?
you should be able to put B16 synchros in. the hydro trannys should have the same
shaft diameters. when I had my b16 and gsr trannys apart before I hybridized
my gsr tranny by adding b16 3,4,5th gears to it - I compared all the parts and
the synchros were the same. I used the gsr synchros since they were fresher,
the tranny has 16K on it now since adding the gears and lsd.

Yes that is correct.

You CANNOT put B16/R synchros with GSR/LS sliders/gears. The B16/R synchros are larger in diameter. The shaft size is irrelevant.
When you made a hybrid tranny you transferred over the gears and synchros together or you didn't have a B16 tranny.

I took some pics so you all can see the differences. As you can see there is almost a 7mm difference in diameter.
