Default Looking for big SOHC Dyno Numbers and Setups

Just curious what people are doing for SOHC VTEC builds. I have a customer that wants to do a big build on an D16z6 so I am just looking to see what has been done, for example what cranks are interchangeable for more stroke, and what OEM pistons will raise compression with stock crank. I have always been a B Series guy just never messed with D Series parts. Thanks in advance.

Matt

I think the D16Z6 motor has many options.

Here are some factory options.

Yep. Just sleeve it and 78mm bore. If you really to want to go at it, throw a D17 crank in as well.

Well heres what a allmotor nonvtec sohc sounds like with a full aray of bisimoto parts. There is alot more potential in the nonvtec sohc's than the vtec sohc's. I have had both, raced both, and built both and the nonvtec setups have alot more bang for your buck. A good choice for any entry level sohc is the P-29 pistons, they are higher compression and can be had for 150ish off of ebay with rings.

Setup
Bisimoto Custom Pistons 76mm
Pauter rods
KMS Blockgaurd
Cometic HG
PnP Head
Bisimoto Valvesprings
Bisimoto Ti Retainers
Bisimoto Level 3 hardweld cam
Blox ported Intake Manifold
Type R Throttle Body
Tec 2 Standalone EMS
and hopefullys soon a Bisimoto Header
and a whole lot of other goodies.
