Will Honda increase production of Si's for '08
I am wondering if Honda has any plans to produce more Si's so they will be a little easier to come by.
I think the Si is a beter driving experience than the Scion tC, but the tC is much easier to find.

When the tC first came out, the waiting list for ANY color was around 6 months for my area.
I bough an 07 Si in January and it was easy to find. No one had white or blue, but every other color was easy to come by.

Those Scions should be easier to find since the target market for them is a lot bigger when compared with the Si. I don't think I have ever gone by the local Honda dealership and not seen at least one 2-dr and one 4-dr.
I like the fact that the Si isn't made that much in a year. It makes the value of our car better, and feel more special to see another Si driving instead of a normal civic.

when i purchased mine i was put on a list for 2 months for the color i first chose (fiji) but 2 weeks after i put a deposit down, they had a haby available so i jumped on it. but the wait was normal, even for the stealerships with mark ups. this was last summer btw.
I Was told by a loal dealer that honda made 13000 si's this year and will make 15000 in 08 and thats it untill the next SI.. if thay put leather in the 08 I will sell my 07 and get one!

there are so many si's where i live. I know I have seen about 6 I can think of off the top of my head. So I doubt they are only making 15k si's a year.
And the scion shouldnt be compared to an si. A civic to a scion would be a better comparison.

An EX Civic to Scion tC....
Like SRT owners argue that their car isn't a neon an Si is still a civic

i see why Honda would stop the production of the Si coupe, or sedan. Seeing that there is such a high demand and hype for them already they will keep making them. Hopefully! haha I'm gonna get a CSX next summer
Honda has a nice low days on ground for the Si right now, under 12 days on the Coupes and 16 on the Sedans in Nor Cal. This is a rather ideal number so why make more, they are moving nice and steady. Fiji Blue and White are still the hard colors to find, we order those colors almost exclusively and we still have the factory change our orders so only about 50% come in the 2 colors we order.
The Si irony to me is if you buy the tires seperately the HPT (summer tires) are a couple hundred less a set, when they come from the factory the MSRP is a couple hundred higher, go figure.
