Screw that, the entire suspension is completely owned.
New axle, tie-rod strut/spring, control arm, etc.
That's not including the bodywork either, and if it hit hard enough it could have damaged the transmission and the fender liner is probably damaged which means the mount might be damaged.
I'd pay no more than 2 - it's obviously totaled.

Honda's don't keep their value
I recently acquired a 94 LX that runs, blows cold A/C, and has a nice dent in the 1/4 panel for $50

lets see, just from what I can see:
passenger fender
headlight
hood
bumper
frame damage, no question about it
new susp. on that wheel
paint
all that equals a big HELL NO. Its totaled by a wide margin.
were you seriously going to pay 3 grand for that? I wouldnt pay more than 1 grand, depending on the shape of the interior and if it is swapped or not.

how do you figure? a stock 7 year old civic? what is on that car that people would want? He might get $300 for any parts he took off that car and could sell.

I never said the car was worth 3k like he said. I way saying quite a bit as in like a grand or so, not 50 bucks like that guy above said he got his civic for. Around here parts aren't cheap.
I guess you would still have a hard time getting a grand out of the parts, so you are right.

I got my 98 DX coupe over 2 years ago bone stock with about 95,000 miles on it for $4000 from a used car dealer.
And it didn't have any damage like that either

i wouldnt do it, ya from a novice perspective it looks like it just needs a new wheel somebody panels and paint and you can walk a way with a clean title. this is not the cars dude you're looking at a total
that front sheet metal that holds the suspension up is very weak so if you dont know your way around a body jig, a tig, and some genral know how, the only thing you could do with that thing there is part it out or aquire a new shell and salvage as much as possible then part out the rear lower quaters for rust repair and chop her up
not to mention the interior is not mint when air bags tend to blow they tend to mess some ofthe interior up
also this is a big must, LOOK for obvious blood, and or injuries/evidence from human harm, i personally an supersticious over that type of stuff
