Default What is the best size wheel?

I'm looking to put some new wheels on my 01 civic. What would be the optimal size? I'm thinking something like 17's or would that be a little too big?

Too vague of a question, to begin with. "What is the best for ____?" would be more direct. Meaning, if you want to drag race, there's 15's. If you want to auto-cross, there's 16's. And, if you want to just cruise around, there's 17's.

16s are perfect. dont see why anyone would go bigger.. 17s and 18s are kinda hard to get it to look right. not that easy to make it look real good. 15s too small but i guess for autocross or track people would use it.

Kid-nime. No blood, death, or possible bad ending in those shows. Too predictable for me.

I use 16s for autox, but the tire selection is limited compared to 15s.

As previously posted if you plan on doing anything but cruising don't go above 16"... but if your not using them other than just normal driving I think 17's look fine for most rims, but def no bigger than 17.

In my opinion, do what YOU want. If you think 17's are a little too big then stick with 16's. Personally i think 17's look great as long as it's a nice looking wheel.
I run 17's, and by no means do i auto-x (or w/e you guys call it) but i hardly just "go cruising" either - my car takes a good regular beating in the twisties.

I know, i just dont know why people can't make up their own minds what wheels/induction kit/exhaust/paint/seats/suspension (delete as applicable) they want to use without asking what everybody elses opinion is every time.

I don't know I guess they figure well these guys know what they're talking about and I don't wanna look like a douche bag... but personally probably like most of you have noticed... I don't care, if you don't like my car good, cus your not the one driving it, and if you think it's rice, I don't, oh well live with it haha

I like being a douche bag

Huh? Where did that come from? I didn't say your car was rice...?

EDIT: Oh, i got it now... you do what you want and don't go on other peoples say so. Gotcha People here aren't going to like everything that everyone else does to thier car anyway, you cant please everyone. Hence why people should do what THEY want. True, i might not like certain aspects of your car (or whoever) but at least you chose what you wanted.

No No I'm just saying in general people are too self-concious, and others are too high and mighty... and I just don't care, but everyone on here atleast that I've seen has some super nice cars, IMO... I like matt's engine bay though, it makes me hard...

I like it so much I'd have sex with it if he let me... maybe even take it out to dinner. And if things went well, me and ol K... I'd think about marrying the beauty.

Agreed! And i think Matts engine bay gives everyone wood mate... I might have to stop short of actually having full on sex with it though.

Maybe.
