Default painted hx rims (help)

what sand paper would i need (#) to take off of paint on hx rims and should i primer them before i paint them white or no?

whats up mike...lol hows the suspension..just use aircraft stripper to take all the paint off then scuff with around 300 grit ..prime than paint..

Wouldnt 300 grit leave scratches ? I would think 800-1500 would be better for a smooth surface to shoot...

yes my fault i forgot to add atleast 800 and up after the 300 to get rid of the scratches...the best primer would be white or light grey as stated...
