Need a Dyno in Philly/South NJ/Balt. area... a must read.
Listen to this ****... call up a local place here, (ERT - European Racing Technologies) to schedule some dyno time. Ask if someone will be there to hookup and setup the Wideband so I can do some tuning... dude on the phone honestly admits he doesnt have a clue
for not BSing me, and asks to call me back.
Well, they just called as I'm getting **** together to head down there, and he says,.. "I'm quoting what I was told. The wideband o2 is an expensive sensor and we dont use it on other peoples cars, only our BMW's.. Sorry." WTF is that chit.
Soooo, long story short I'm in need of a local dyno. I can't believe this crap. Last time I went there, they screwed up my first two pulls on my old Eclipse, didn't have the speed rating for the tires set properly so it shutdown the dyno for exceeding characteristics of the car, and they had my RPM's set to 3500 instead of 7500 so I didnt even get a full reading!
Top this off with working the past 21 hours in a row (
to Sun Microsystems) and I'm just NOT having a good week.

Oh, and the dyno will need to have a Wideband O2 I CAN USE!! and preferably "import friendly". This guy told me my car was, "just an Integra, why do you need a Wideband?!"
I get that bullshit all the time....."oh its just an integra - isnt that 4cly"
And i actually had some dick in a porsche boxer at a light lauging at me and telling me nice paint job ---that was before i roasted him by 2 car lengths
Anyway about the dyno i am planning to go to bullish racing after i get my leaking headgasket situation sorted out....
Let me know when your planning to go and where maybe we can get a bit of a discount
BTW - Think you can send my your Avatar in a big format i would like to use it as my desktop

I went down to EIP Tuning in MD. They where really cool to work with but they did not have an O2 sensor. $125/hr and that included a tuner dude working with you. Basically he did all the wrench work and me and my buddy did all the Hondata stuff. (They do not tune Hondata, but buddy has stage 4 so he was able to hook me up.) They specialize in VWs so you have to put up with import haters.

I know there is a place near philly that tunes Hondata...dont know if maybe u can get some tuning time on their dyno or not. Check http://www.hondata.com and see authorized Hondata dealers and look for the one in Philly or nearby. HTH
unless you are on boost, you have no use for a wide band.
I've been to ERT in Willmington to dyno my car twice. I'm not doubting what they told you about the wideband O2... But in their defense, they are really nice guys.
I know of at least one person that had his car tuned at ERT with their wideband o2 equipment. But it does not surprise me that they would not allow you to use their Widband O2 sensor at this time of year. They run a team of BMW 328s in Speedvision Touring Car, and this is the middle of their race season. Their race team gets the main priority at that shop. And they probably don't want to risk ruining an o2 sensor on a customer's car when they need it to tune their team cars before each race... The o2 Sensor itself costs anywhere from $1000 and more depending on the accuracy and range.
A bunch of h-t guys had a dyno day at Performance Specialties in Pottstown, PA a while ago. They are a musclecar shop. But also very knowledgeable. A friend of mine had his 5.0 Mercury Capri tuned there a few years ago.
