Is all you hear the backfiring and popping? Cause my car does that, but it doesn't have an exhaust leak.

Or is there a true leak?
Have you checked the gaskets on both sides?

It's still puzzling why the leak would come back though. I can only think rust. Or your typical drive would involve a bump somewhere that would slowly dick up the exhaust eventually resulting in a hole. Hmm...this is a tough one.

Sounds like they are doing a shitty job fixing it. If its rusting, its just going to get worse and not any better until you replace the whole thing.

it is a tough one bro... and its funny because its not a hole its the little gasket between the piping that keeps going bad no matter how many times i change it im about to just throw a straight pipe in it and call it at day

You're in new york... everything on your exhaust is probably rusted to **** if it's the stock 93 exhaust, or even been replaced once before. The whole cat back is like $200-250 for OEM replacement. Without the muffler it's probably $125... Fresh metal will last you another 5 years before it rusts through again

Try a better gasket. Like the cork kind. They seem to hold up pretty well from what I have seen.

Maybe your flange is fucked up that it isn't making a flush connection though. I would say screw it and have the muffler shop just weld it up.
