Default OBD1 or OBD2 ECU for my 99' Ex coupe?

I notice there isnt't enough information on OBD2 chipped ECU, I have a 99' Civic EX with Headers, intake, exhaust, MSD Ignition system, but im looking to get the full potential of all this but my computer is not helping me. Any suggestions? I have a P28 OBD1 computer laying around should just buy the wire conversion and chipp that computer and put it on my civic? Or can I just chipp my OBD2? I tried looking for the answer before making this post but didn't find the answer I was looking for Thanks.

You can't really chip obd2 ecus. I can't remember if the code is all encrypted or just really hard to get to. Either way, there has been little work done on modding obd2 ecu's because obd1 has already been done and is way more easier.
You can run free programs like Chrome (better to get the paid version if you go turbo) and the like. Or you could get a piggy back device like the ones from Apexi, which aren't the best but they can get the job done.
