engine rpm drop too low/turns off after spirited driving??? (lazy IACV???)
(91 crx with obd0 b16)
After some spirited driving, I put my foot on the clutch, to stop the car. As the revs drop off, they drop too low and sometimes it turns off. it seems to happen immediately after some WOT driving - but not really after light cruising. Other than this issue, the car is strong and drives/runs well.
I have been thinking that maybe the IACV is not reacting quickly enough to control the idle, and prevent the engine from dying.
When you floor it, does the IACV close off?
If it does close off, maybe the IACV is "lazy" and not opening soon enough to control the idle?
I am open to ideas and suggestions. i will try to replace the IACV with another one I have laying around in the next few days, and see what happens.

Do you have a lightweight flywheel? I had that problem after I installed the blower, but it went away after it was tuned and the IACV duty cycle adjusted.
no i do not have a lightweight flywheel. I am planning on getting one and this is now a concern that i have.
Update
I removed the IACV and cleaned it thoroughly with carb cleaner/degreaser. It seems to have fixed the problem.
I also disconnected the coolant lines to the IACV, but im sure this does not have anything to do with my original problem.
