Default autometer temp guage

where do u screw the end of the temp guage at on a b16a is it on the back of the block or what?

I made an adapter from the hardware store to go in the 5/8 hose that is "looped" in back and screwed it into that. the hose is the one from the block to the head.

I tapped into the hose which goes to the heater core.

I thought it was better to tap from the upper rad hose because its a more accurate temp??? what does ur gauge read at operating temp? just curious to see if theres a slight diff in readings.

I wouldnt use the heater core hose because it has a valve in it to stop th coolant from going though so you dont have the heat on all the time. this would work ok if you left your heat on all the time. do the same thing in the pic but to the looped hose I talked about earlier.

I have my heat full open all of the time with the fan off. Works for me.
