Where did you see a Performer X kit for $5,000? That is a huge ripoff. They usually sell for around $3,000

and get a shitty turbo and garbage computer, edelbrock turbo kit is one of the best bolt-on kits that remain carb legal, gt28rs turbo, tial bov, edelbrock intake mani, complete piping and intercooler, what more can you ask for without going custom and spending $3000+

here's what you do
-find a friend or relative that works at autozone/kragen/whatever parts store, cause most of the chance, they have an account with EDELBROCK directly
-use their employee discount, can range from 20%-30%
-get it for about $2000

thats what i did, used my friends employee discount and got an open track turbo kit for b-series for about 1900 after tax
