I was wondering how much power the stock sleeves will hold on a B18C1 GSR engine. I am building one with 11.5:1 Compression, Crower Stage 2 cams, a B16 head with porting, and a 100 shot direct port nitrous (should produce about 300 to the wheels on the bottle) and I will not use the nitrous untill 2nd gear. Thanks for any input.

 

it all comes down to the tune

to be honest, how much my sleeves will take would be the last thing on my mind everytime i sprayed a 100 shot tho

 

I've sprayed a 75 sho dry on a ls motor and a type r motor,
both motors are still alive with stock bottems. Just retard the
timing and increase the fuel pressure.

 

I will build it and get a good tune on it and all should be well then. Thanks

 

people have made 650whp on stock sleeves. oem sleeves are much stronger than people think. poor tuning is the reason for most sleeve failures, within this hp threshold.
