5th gen: excessive road noise
my first post here jus need some help.
alright ive come to the conclusion that this just isnt road noise. about a week ago ive noticed a whoop whoop whoop.... sound coming from the front left side of the car. so i take it as i need to get my tires rebalanced.... did it
.... i drive away... still there. so i think it might be a loose bolt, i did just put in a new suspension... tighten bolts, still there. i notice some tire wear.... but it could just be from a lower suspension so i get an alinement job done on my car... w/e i knew it the sound was still there.
what does this sound like it could be? when i drive its loudest at 48mph and 70mph. when the road curves to the right on the fwy i hear the noise a lot more and when the road curves to the left i barely notice it. this is gay what do i do?

how long ago was your last brake job? Because you are getting some harmonics at certain speeds and the fact which direction you are turning changes the sound, maybe worn pads or warped rotors...
well i did my breaks myself about a month ago... rotors didn't seem bad no odd wear or uneven surfaces. basically if u were outside i dont think u can hear a noise cuz with my windows down i dont hear much noise coming form the actual part... i just hear an inside noise in result of it. but heck im no mechanic myself.
what RPM is it at when it makes that noise? sounds like its towards the top end of each gear. have no idea what it could be, but that might help someone else help u
its through out the whole range of rpms... the faster i go the more i hear it.... some spots like around 55-65 it evens out a lil bit but its still there. i wouldnt kno how it sounds when the bearings go out... but i thought thats a noise u can hear from outside. there is some vibration coming from it though u can feel it a lil from the steering wheel.
if it was the rotor i there would probably be lots of wear on them right? i think im gonna to check out the pads today...

is there a vibration when you step on the brakes? if so more than likely your rotors. make sure your lug nuts are torqued correctly. how long/how many miles have you noticed the noise and vibration?

^^haha damn i was a lil tired when i wrote that. but naw there isnt any distinct vibration from braking at all. it really just feel like i hav a lopsided tire. or the tire needs rebalancing (which i did already).
