ls is a 1834 cc dohc non-vtec motor. its actually called a b18a/b... ls is just the name of the trim level the car is most often found in.

1991 CRX DX - 96 B18B1 with 92 YS1 cable tranny resides under the hood I wouldn't change it for a B16A ever! I might use a B16A head for an LSVTEC setup later on, but the torque that the LS has over the B16A is very impressive. Go with a B18A1/B1 - you won't be disappointed.

Man, what kind of turbo set-up are you going to get with $600? Sounds like a good deal.

its not costing me 600 complete, but thats how much i need to order a vafc and a turbo manifold, which are the main things i need. Heres my setup coming soon:

T3- $100
Starion Intercooler- $70
Dsm Injectors- traded for parts (free)
Bov- traded for parts (free)
Radiator charge pipes- $45
Oil feed and return- $40

missing parts i need
vafc- $300
turbo manifold- $300

845 for my complete setup, (rough estimate)
all this is going on a stock b18a

I dont think the b16 parts or the GSR parts are interchangable on the LS(b18). I know for a fact the cams will not work they have extra lobes on them the LS (b18) doesnt have for VTEC..

Crane, crower, and zex make cams for the LS. The ls is pretty much a ZC like what you have now just .2 liters and alot more torque.....IM deciding on either b18a/b or a ZC right now for this summer, How hard is the B18 swap actually?? mount wise and can I retain my stock DX tranny still Id assume so?

Personally I did not think my swap was hard to do at all. if you are talkin a bout a b18 and a ZC is [B]SUPER EASY SWAP [B] you can not use a DX tranny on a b18 but yes on a ZC!!
