Just got done with the H22A Swap. Car misfire, spray exess fuel which leaks out of the exhaust.
I have a big problem with the H22 swap that i just done recently to my EG6. I had everything done except getting the car to idle and rev properly without any problem. The problem that I'm facing right now is that whenever I start the car it idles really rough and some misfire. When I rev it misfire even more and it wont rev more than 4k without choking to death. I'm using a chipped P28 ecu. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
check your injectors are the firing in order? check your dizzy wires and all that mess
and it the ecu is chiped for a h22 then your fine

It wasnt chipped for H22 still got the old map for the d16z6. I got a new chip for the P13 . Would it still work if i just swap out the chip from p28 and use the p13 chip. The P28 is already chipped with the all motor d16 map. but it does start just alot of choking and misfire. Im thinking of just using the JDM P13 that it came with the engine but that would mean more work and some rewirings.

Get the right ECU! H22 is a very different motor than d16z6. It's 75% bigger, for crissakes. I bet all your problems will go away with the right ECU.

Yea i know that. My question was its already socketed. Can i use a P13 Spoon chip and put it in the P28 zif socket?

He could have the right ECU, you can load any basemap on a chipped P28 (or any OBD-I ECU for that matter) and edit it using crome or neptune or the works.
Also, it's 138% the size of a Z6, that's 38% larger, 75% of 1.6L is 1.2L - meaning you'd claim to have a 2.8L engine with an H22 if it indeed was 75% larger.

I wouldn't, contact a chip burner and have them burn you a basemap H22, screw the spoon crap.
Contact THC07 - he's on his 3rd H22 (his favorite engine), he'll be able to hook up u up with a chip with an H22 basemap for a good price

It should work, yes, but it's more expensive, and if you contact him you can get any changes you want made including speed governor removal, changing the rev limiter, adding a 2 step, adding a CEL shift light, disabling certain sensors, etc.
With a spoon chip you'll pay for the name, a basemap is a basemap - you're better off getting a cheaper one and you can talk with him on how you want it setup - what you want disabled, etc.

8k redline
5200 vtec
7600 shift light
3500 2step
and i have knock sensor, o2, o2 heator, eld, injector check routine, atmospheric pressure.

I already bought the SPoon one and it's as cheap as his. When i went to put the chip in, it still run rough like as if it still has the d16 base map
is it an actually spoon chip or a spoon chip you bought off of ebay? because i could have sworn spoon only dealt with b/f/k series motors
you did not get a SPOON ecu for 150 and i doubt you custom ordered it like i did obviously your SPOON CHIP isnt designed for an h22 it just ups your redline and drops vtec it doesn't have an h22 basmep
send it back and get something that works

It's not the ECU that i have. It just a chip that you need to have it socket with a 28 pin zif socket. Pretty much a modified H22 basemap with revise rev and what not that's on there.
