Just finally am getting this project back on the road. Sorted my CYP and ELD codes. New distributor from distributor king.
Tach does not work.
Previously the ECU plugs had been cut out of the car, and I have soldered them all back in. I am not getting any codes.
Have tried my friend's OEM distributor and the tach still doesn't work.
How does the signal get from the distributor to the tach, does anyone have a wiring diagram? I'd like to continuity test it at different points.

Its the blue wire as far as I know that comes off the dizzy. You might search around for crap with the VAFC. Everybody seems to have issues hooking up the tach wire with the vafc.
Are you sure your tranny ground is good?

the rpm signal comes out of a blue wire on the dizzy connector. not the one that next to the yellow and greenm one but the one on the bottom bigger cavity next to a black withyellow stripe thicker gauge wire.
it goes from there to the connector 127 on the drive side harness. it should be a blue wire in the conenctor i do not know the cavity number.
im using an obd2a distributor and ecu in my obd2b car. from the look of my stock harness the tach wiring isnt in there i tink it uses the crank signal for that tach signal instead. so im including it into the harness im using.
hope that could helpa bit

what part number DK unit do you have? I tried 2 separate DK units TD04 and TD04U and the tach only worked on one of them. The older version TD04 (I think) was updated with TD04U to correct that problem. Might wanna call DK just in case.
