ok you got your crx, swaped in a b16a did the stage 2 clutch,intake,headers,flywheel,exhaust,vafc, and plugwires

you have less then 500 to spend on the motor "what would you do"

i really need some ideas!!!!

i asked the same question last week, i decided on buying skunk2 intake manifold

 

do you have the rest of the car built up to handle what you have for a motor so far? ie: rear discs, slotted rotors, suspension, tires? also, are you building up for racing or just street? if you're gonna race, what style of racing? drag? autox?

....lots of variables to think about

 

i have ebach prokit nice wheels, would like to get the whole big brake kit and what not but its mostly a daily driver with some perks .. i want to do more to the motor before i go crazy on anything else yeah i do the occasional drag race here and there not to much autox since i never have time to go on sunday.. i dont know just looking for somthing more out the b16 ??>

 

cams, type r intake manifold, junkyard turbo set up, NO2, high comp pistons, titanium valves valve springs and guides. there are like a billion things to do with little money. especially with that motor. your car is just a precision tool. it can do all types of **** but what you want it to do is the real question.

 

defintley get in this order(probably)
1)killer camshafts.... they'll give the b16 more power(but you have to tune it)
2)jun/toda lightweight flywheel $450
3)skunk2 intake manifold
4)save up a buy a stroker kit

 

I'm gonna go with cams, adjustable cam gears, lots of time tuning.

 

thats what ive been leaning towards. i can get some CTR cams at pretty good price but is there any other cams that would "dramaticaly" change the HP? without breaking the bank?? and valve springs to mach??

I would have to put my $.02 toward a nitrous kit. You will def see a differance in power.

 

he wants something that isn't going to hurt the engine in the long run. he was going to do a turbo months ago, but then people kept telling him about all the little things, added expences he didn't count on and so he backed out. if he got some good cams, what else would he need to get at the time of the instal so everything ran right, and he got a good power boost.?

he has issues with NO2, says bottles are for cheaters....a zc hatch lied and raced him one night, said it was a stock zc, i told him he was spraying, when the hatch sprayed a 75 shot, and BARELY beat him, he was mad.......don't get mad shawn..

save up a little more and do a turbo or get a skunk2 mani, some of my buddies have em on their rides and it's a hella of a difference. Makes driving NA dohcs very fun.

 

I wouldnt pay all that money on a lightweight flywheel. I know a dude that can lighten it for you for about $75 dollars. He does it on a laser guided machine so that it doesnt have to be re-balanced. When are you going to show me what youre rex can do? I finally got my wheels and springs and **** on....cant remember if i told you. IM me some time and well talk more about the flywheel.

he already had his flywheel lightened when the engine went in. you know who shawn is? what color rex you drive? i drive the half red/ half primer rex that is always chillen with him?do you know who i am? i'll show you what my rex can do now
