B16a wiring in Wagovan?? Urgent, Please help me out!
Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm putting a B16a into my Wagovan.. (pretty much the same internals as a std. Civic) And I'm having some troubles with the wiring and I was wondering if you guys could help..
Alright, so I've got the stock motor out of my car and I'm going to start wiring it in, and I have the stock Si harness, and I'll have to wire Vtec solenoid, knock, oil pressure, and the other 02 sensor..
But I was wondering if I had to also wire MPFI or will the Si harness cover that? Will I have to swap wires at the ECU for MPFI?
Also, I've got the Yonaka mount set, but there is something fishy looking about the rear mount. Is there a metal piece that connects to the tranny like on the stock trans?
This is pretty urgent cause mom wants me to get it out of the garage, and it's only been a day..
Lemme know guys! Please and thank you!

if you are swapping out the harrness all you have to do is rewire the other parts you dont have to do any thing with MPFI but thats if your swaping the whole harness out
that Si harness won't plug into the wagon's chassis harness.
you would need a diagram of the wagon AND Si harnesses where they connect at the shock towers. (not sure those diagrams exist)
you can do it, if you're adept at wiring. but you'll be paving the way to some extent, and if time is an issue at all......well there will probably be significant down time. underconcrx, please chime in if i've misunderstood the situation.
i think you're better off modifying the stock engine harness to accept your new motor. there is plenty of reliable info on how to do those mods....
for the rear mount, you need the rear "t-bracket" from a 90-93 integra. this piece allows you to connect the aftermarket mount to the engine block.

if you have the stock harness do it that way please. save yourself major headaches down the road.

theres a few ways of doing this if time is the issue then just mod the stock one but that means still more time but not as much as unpining and reping that takes hours i had to do that when i did the dash swap in my civic i used the crx dash harness and the plug didnt plug in to the other one so i had to unpin it and trace back all the wire so i can repin it the right way its all on you if you have time then repin if not then mod your harness <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Kahuna »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Couldn't I just re-pin the connectors to make them work? you could but you would have to run some extra wire i think

the Si engine harness is not compatible with the DX chassis harness - the DX chassis harness does not have wiring in it for the extra 2 fuel injectors or for the cylinder sensor - the Si engine harness has 2 connectors at the passenger side and the DX chassis harness has only one connector at that location - use the DX engine harness and do the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes to it and then add wiring for the VTEC, knock, etc.
My wagon has two connectors at the passenger side.. I'm thinking about sending it off to rywire. I don't want to have any problems.
