after a LOT of headlight troubleshooting and following wires for faults and everything, one of my last ideas is that my harness isn't getting voltage to my headlights. theyre pretty gunky w/ grease for some reason. anyways whats SAFE to use on the harnesses? like non-corrosive to the plugs, non-corrosive to the plastic and still removes gummy grease? I was thinking WD40 but at the ice cream shop i used to work at, i used that and it worked but under the can of WD40 there was a hole in the counter where it sat. (giant 5" hole from rust)
Carb cleaner. First make sure that the wire is not attached to the power sourse. Spray C.C. and wipe wire dry. I'm assuming that there is no rubber protection surrounding the wires ?

yeah, its made for cleaning electronics. i wouldnt use carb cleaner. maybe brake cleaner, not carb cleaner.

some of the brake cleaners and carb cleaners will mess up certain plastics. Electronics cleaner works great though, and dries fast.
