My car throws a cel for a VSS and is making tons of gear noise. Im thinking that possibly it siezed up. Which bolt is it? just teh long one ontop? i know there are 2 for the electrical sensor than then one more, all 3 are out but it seems pretty stuck. Any tricks?

Push it to the side to break the seal. It probably hasn't been pulled in a long *** time. Corrosion builds up & makes it difficult to pull out. (Personal experience. )

It's the sensor towards the rear of the trans on top with the 10mm bolt connected to it. Unbolt the bolt, push it to the side a bit, and pull it out. You'll probably have to wiggle it a bit.

all wrong, previous owner put in too long of a bolt that hit a gear and bent, thus ruining the threads on the case when unthreaded, Im pissed.
