My car throws a cel for a VSS and is making tons of gear noise. Im thinking that possibly it siezed up. Which bolt is it? just teh long one ontop? i know there are 2 for the electrical sensor than then one more, all 3 are out but it seems pretty stuck. Any tricks?
Push it to the side to break the seal. It probably hasn't been pulled in a long *** time. Corrosion builds up & makes it difficult to pull out. (Personal experience.

It's the sensor towards the rear of the trans on top with the 10mm bolt connected to it. Unbolt the bolt, push it to the side a bit, and pull it out. You'll probably have to wiggle it a bit.
