Default New civic SI Four door

Hey i dont really know much about the new CIVICS.... I was thinking of picking up the new 4 door SI model up for my daily. But I hate those awful tail lights on there. I seen this version of the CIVIC TYPE R four door in a mag and one on here before. I thought the tail light that i had seen before were the USDM standard.....Wrong. So my question is do those tail lights transfer over from the JDM model to US model? If anybody has any info that would be great. Thanks in advance.

he can swap out the tail lights...it's been done before...the outters are bolt-on, and the inners you need a trunk from a csx...

it still bolts on...no major bodywork needed at all...you just change the outters, and get a new trunk with inners...takes like an hour to install...

when someone says WTF am I talking about to a comment isn't that a bit of disrespect??? you are the people that I was talking about. so of course im going to hit back when what I said was right in the 1st place. no the facts before you jump on someone, and is profanity really necessary? we are all adults here right?

^ Im confused..... isnt the JDM civic the Type R, and the CSX. The Type R has almost a rap-a-round style taillights. and Type-x's pictures show the difference in the CSX and the USDM.

How is he wrong? please explain...

I gotcha now.... crxgator, you basically answered his question in the beginning... they transfer just need diff trunk. Im just saying the post started to get a bit confusing towards the end.

im thinking about changing the taillights too and dont want to get it wrong.

but to answer your first question as simple as possible

yes, you can install the type-r/csx taillights to your usdm 4 dr civic by switching out the rear bumper/trunk to the jdm version as well

it has been done before

This thread should be locked due to hijacking for insults... Aside from that

USDM -> JDM rears requires

Trunk and Lights (probably the spoiler holes are different too) I'm sure there are different bolts and such minor things you need to. Check with Honda. They usually are pretty good about helping people out. Very few people here can give you perfect info, however a quick(or not so) e-mail to honda can help solve lots of things.
