what controls the ac compressor
Ive notcied that somtimes while driving the ac compressor will kick off for 2 mins or so
during that 2 mins it gets hot in the car no ac
then after a few it kicks back on?
is it common for a fault ac clutch to get hot and disengage or something or is this a normal cycling of the compressor
Ive also notcied at idle the car doesnt cool ac well but driving its good and cold

it's normal for the AC clutch to cycle but for 2 minutes that's a long time...the thing about it being cooler when you're driving as opposed to idling can be attributed to
1. your AC compressor spinning faster
2. air moving across the condensor
i would say go to a shop that deals with AC and have them have a look at it.

what makes the ac compressor kick on are a couple relays, and a high pressure swtich. the high presure switch may be whats causing your compressor to cycle on and off. mine does the same thing. you can either A: put a jumper wire in the harness end that connects to the switch making the compressor run all the time when the ac is on or B: spend 50 bucks on a new high pressure switch. if your compressor cycles on and off when the car is idling, it more than likely is your high pressure switch. its located above the compressor next to the condensor fan. on the right side when looking under the hood. get the manual from my sig and it should help you out.
something is def wrong
during hot hours of day it clicks off a lot but at night it runs constant
and im pretty sure it shouldnt get hot as hell when it clicks off for a min
