Default 4.9 volts on iacv connector!!

Hi guys, when I unplug my IAC valve and measure voltag, I am only getting 4.95 volts. I measured voltage from the ecu and it is the same. Can someone please tell me the what pin or wire I can use to run a wire directly from the main relay to the IAC. This surging idle is driving me nuts. I drive a 95 EJ1 with a 94 JDM B18c. Thanks in advance guys.
Peace,
Jeff

Are you checking it with the engine running? The other wire should have battery voltage when it running, but 0 when the engine is off.

It should get voltage from pin 6 on the main relay, the same one that supplies the injectors.

the reason you are getting 4.9 volts on it is because you have the IACV and IAT plugs switched.

colors at the IAT
red/yellow & green/black (dc)
red/yellow & green/white (eg)

colors at the IACV
yellow/black & black/blue (dc)
yellow/black & blue/yellow(eg)

pick up a new/used IAT, plug everything in correct and you'll be fine.
