does anyone have a for sure way to get headlight lens perfectly clean (scratch free)????
i bought a set of used ctr headlights and im trying to get them as clean as possible!so far i have used Plastx, Mothers plastic polish, Turtle wax rubbing compound, and also a Craftsman buffing wheel and compound set and none of these have seemed to work. im to the point where i just want to buy new ones.
If anyone has any knowledge on this please let me know thanks!

I think you'll find several threads under the search function but I remember reading that the Meguiar's mag polish was really good for this but I guess it also depends on the condition of the lights.
I bought a set of 99-00 headlights to open up and paint. One was a new replacement and the other was OEM and rather pitted/hazy. I tried everything i heard of people using( toothpaste, Plast-X, Meguiar's Mag wheel polish, Autosol,Etc/Etc.) to clear up the original headlight, but ended up having to wetsand it to clean it up.
I find it's good to clean them with the Meg' mag wheel polish once in a while, then put a quick coat of wax on them.

wetsand 800-1000 grit depending on scratch/pit size, wash it off, wet sand with 1500 grit, wash it off, final wet sand with 2000 grit until the headlight is all foggy but smooth, then get mothers plastic polish put a very healthy amount on and buff your *** off, i put about 3 applications of the plastic polish on when i did my friends prelude, came out great, then every time you wax the car just wax the headlights for reg maintenance and once a month give or take re-apply the plastic polish
