how do you tell a type R from a normal teg?
Hi, I know this is a stupid question, but im a civic boy myself. But neways, there's a silver teg in my area, and it has the black with red stitching interior, but it has only four lugs. There's no type r badging and aftermarket rims. So I want to know how to tell if its real or a fugazi, without popping the hood. Thanks.
CruJones is Rad, you however are not
ITRs only came in White/ Yellow/ Black in the US. So if it's silver it's pretty much a dead giveaway.

Here are most ways to tell the difference without popping the hood:
1) Type Rs only came in Championship White, Phoenix Yellow, and Black
2) Type Rs don't have a sunroof
3) Type Rs have no side moldings
4) Type Rs have 5 lug

Too tell a LS wannabe which also don't have sunroofs...and if he also converted to 5 lugs, put in OEM wheels with RE010 took off side moldings, installed ITR seats and carbon fiber interior, install OEM kit with ITR spoiler and painted it yellow.
You can still tell it's fake by reading the registration sticker. If it reads DH4, than it's a LS, DC2 is only for GSR and ITR...but GSR all have sunroofs.

ITR's have 4 lugs, silver emblems (special ITR came with gold emblems), sunroof, side moldings and only come in red, blue and silver
