I am not sure what you are asking, but all JRSC on SOHC's I have heard have a whine to it...also 8 psi is not a problem.

thread = ???????

Please search, tons of threads concerning JRSC and SOHC's have been posted

some of the newer JRSC kits have silencer holes cast into the manifold/blower.

also.... what sort of bolt ons are you running? stock intake arm and airbox?

a short ram will make it louder.... a cold air will actually quiet it down a little and actually make the blower work harder. (less power on most cases)

my old setup was pretty loud, even on 4-5psi.

the jrsc's are actually quite quiet, mine is running at 8-10psi and you can't tell that its on there except for the little extra power.

as for the short ram intaking being better, i have heard alot of people say this, but i just dont see how a cold air intake would make it work harder, the physics of it just dont make sense.

its like sucking air through a longer straw.

ive dyno'd a few different intakes on my old setups, i recommend a short ram with larger diameter. (3 inch)

yes, heat is an enemy with the roots blowers, so one would think that a cold air would be better..... but it isnt. sort of cancels the purpose.

fuel coolers and intercoolers work really well to make that power up for the heatsoak.

DOHC ZC JRSC won't fit SOHC engine, unless it is a SOHC JRSC using some sort of intake manifold adapter

ok i understand that it has the effect of sucking air through a longer straw.. yea, its harder to do it, but why doesnt it have the same effect on non forced induction engines

because not only is the supercharger sucking in the air.... its also compressing it.

an N/A engine is also and air pump, drawing in air.... and well, i guess the air is compressed too to an extent in the cylinders. but, for some odd reason, the roots blower responded better to short ram intakes....

funny thing is, a velocity stack had no effect on performance for the SC engine too.
