Need help wit a k24
ok im new in kmotors im alway being a bseries guy time to move higher know i dont realy care how much im going to spend in building a fast NA motor. Meaning in parts but i want to built something prove'nt that works but i hear few people saying that u can'nt port and polish a kseries head you won't do any power that the port on the kseries head is 5time better than a 2001 type r some people telling me that i cant use higher than 12.5 piston. So is like i dont know what to buy and what to put work on should i sleeve the block for bigger piston should i use after marking bearings or OEM what cams should i buy or should i send cams to be made what headers . Ok here what i have a 2004 tsx complete motor also have 2007 complete SI head and a 2004 rsx type s complete head also 2004types trany and 2007SItrany what should i used im looking for 300 plus in HP is going in 95 eg real lite weigth so please help me out thank alot

I know the PRB-1 head casting has more room to work with than all the other head castings. I am sure you can still use the other head castings as well, really doesn't sound like to me you really need some wild port job since you only want to make 300.
Honda did their homework with the K-series but there is room for improvement.
Yes like any cylinder head, its easy to screw things up if you don't do the right thing. Just stick to companies that have a good reputation and personally don't recommend going to oversize valves unless your going big bore.
Ultimately would need to know more about the bottom end combo and full plans for the car to spec head/cam setup.

</TD></TR></TABLE>well like i said before i have all the factory parts to built my eg all im missing to buy internals and sleeve port n polish im have HeadWay peformance do my heads on bseries he did a hell of a good job on my head i had a exellent flow but i hear that kseries heads are not good to get port n polish they come with a exellent job already. ok lets forget about everything lets say is your tsx with 07 SI head and tranny and u have a eg shell weight at from 1800 to 2000 pound u want to hit high 10s what would u built N/A

you can run 13.5/1cr on stock sleeves and pump gas if you know what your doing. I ran 11.7 in a 2200lbs EG on a stock K24a2 with crower s2 cams and boltons back in 05. With the Ks it not about going all out but more just doing the right things and having a good K tuner. If I could do it all over again I would go with the K20. We are always battling traction problems with the K24.

i have a nice k20 i can sell you
(this is itsjustacivic on k20a.org and kcsr.org, i made a new name on here so now im a trial user again
)
and in regards to the k24, i would keep the compression below 13:1 just off the fact that its going to be harder to drive on the street due to tracion problems created by making more power. my k20 has pleanty of traction problems as it is, and i could not imagine it if i had even more torque
