Default Somethin a lil different....Ultimate beach radio

haha I had too much stereo **** lyin around so i decided to make the ultimate beach radio....the ipod docks just aren't cuttin it when the beach is packed

Don't worry....everyone who goes to the beach we go to likes the same music as us...so they'll enjoy too

All I need is a 12volt battery to power it....prob gunna just get a truck battery at cost from the auto parts store i used to work at....

i did the same thing a few years ago, copied the osiris urban sound system, small amp-8" woofer in a cardboard tube- and two 5 1/4 in the side pockets powered by 7.2 volt r/c car battery packs-input was an 1/8" phono jack, i used it for skateboarding and fishing, there was enough room left in the bag to carry my pads or a couple tackle boxes, total weight was around ten pounds but it was worth it. for homade portables!!!

looks sweet but will be a bitch to transport...

A couple years ago during the infancy of MP3s, we constructed a bookbag w/ a battery, powered speakers and a MP3 CD player. We used it for many years on the beach and for hiking.

Nothing like hiking for miles listening to the allman brothers

you should make a ring around the coaxils so you can hear more than just the tweeters. cool idea

Agreed... That right there will sound like ***. I love the old school Zapco though

Make baffles for the coaxes and your set.

i was thinking of cutting holes but the air from the sub would be pushing out on the coax's everytime it hits......i will prob just build some small boxes around the speakers

You can also use PC power supplies and have a nice home stereo sub.. I've done that a number of times.

If you mount those components inside the box, you may want to use these...

If you order them, be sure to include Adam as your product advisor. He was nice enuff to help me locate these online.

I'd just put hinges on that backside, move amp to the top, add straps...and you're set. Doubles as a backpak

Or if you have bad knees or are a *****, you could get the girly setup with the extend-a-handle and wheels

Next you need to mount a car CD player in it...

Then you'll have to carry a bunch of CD's etc... Defeats the purpose in an ipod world.

Hell yeah, and get a nice core workout also
Now I have to keep a camera with me at the beach in case I see someone with a sub strapped to their back...
