the two most important grounds on the motor are from the valve cover to the frame, the trans to the frame, and the starter connections. it might also be helpful to run a ground wire from the negative terminal on the battery to the frame of the car

So if there isn't a ground wire the car won't run? Just wondering, because my swap is done, but will only crank, and not run.

After reading this, and thinking, I don't remember hooking up a ground on my starter. Where would it run from, I know the little tab on the starter, but where does it go to?

Thanks in adnvance

I'm getting fuel up the the rail, but it just wont turn all the way over. I'm going to look at it this weekend, and see whats up. Maybe I'll pull everything back out and start from scratch

Well I got mine running, I just made my own ground wire. I ran it from the starter, to the point where the ground is right near the clutch lever. After I did it the car turned right over . Good luck with yours, and hope that helps you.

the ground wire for the starter comes out of the wiring harness, there should be a male connector on the starter and a female connector coming off of the wiring harness.
