My teg just recently have a starting problem after my dad took it to a shop to get a distributor put in. well a month later i should say. sometimes my car would crank but will not start and i would have to step on the gas pedal while cranking in order to start my car. i dont know what it could b. onces my car starts if i turn it off it will turn back on without a prob but only if i leave it over night or let it cool down for a certain amount of time then it will have this cranking but no start problem plz help me figure this problem out!!!!!

 

Um, you don't have to press the gas for the car to start, AT ALL...

My alternator would do that, Idk how, but it drained the battery, and next morning it would start???

 

problem solved it was a wire in the ignitor that was loose
