taking out radio
I have to take out my stereo to get the serial number for the dealer so I can get the code.
How would one go about doing this without damaging the crap out of stuff?
Thanks.

you take the cover off that underneath it where you have that plug in for accessorys above the cup holder and tray once you take that out there is two screws that hold the back of the cd player in then there is just clips that hold the front in and those are a bitch to get to pop loose
here's basically what he said but much more detailed. the piece with the cigarette lighter has 2 little notches for a flathead screwdriver. pry the top loose, then use a little strength and pry the bottom loose. disconnect cigarette lighter. now there are 2 bolts that hold the old head unit. you could use a stubby philips head or just use a 10mm socket. after that, stick your hand in the back, and use a bit of strength to push it out. try doing one side and then the other. it also helps if you are pulling carefully from the front as well. don't worry, the harness will prevent it from flying out at you. after it is out, disconnect all plugs from the back. voila, you are done.
