Head Unit on my EJ8....
Alright I have an aftermarket headunit in my EJ8....it's this one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC-KD-S60...wItem
Well all of a sudden one day, my cd player stopped working...I was thinking of taking it out and messing with it and see if there is anything stuck in there and what not....but the problem is, how do i take it out?
Also, if the headunit itself is broken, how would i go about replacing it? I'm not very knowledgable with harnesses and stuff.....thanks.
PS: I do NOT have the factory radio in anymore....aka my keyless entry is gone.
Thanks Honda-Tech

You have to use a special tool so you wont bend the little flaps holding it down. Or you can do it ghetto style and use a knife around the edges. You first have to remove the black plastic trim around it. Then just look where the metal flaps are holding it down. Have you tried checking the fuses under the steering wheel? There is a fuse for the radio under there. Also, if you take your radio out, it has a fuse itself. Good luck.
So there is no way i can do it myself? I'm using an FM transmitter right now and the quality sucks *****...
EDIT: and what do the fuses have to do with anything? I mean my headunit doesnt play cds....but the radio still works.
