Fixed one brake issue found another! "Drum issues"
Well I fixed the crunching/cracking sound from my front brakes, I changed lines, new fluid new pads, all seems fine up front now.
Now I have a issue with the rear drums "90 Civic DX" Sometimes when I hit the brakes it squeeks and then I release and it still squeeks until I tap the brakes or the ebrake. This started before I put on new brake lines BTW. I also noticed if Im driving and pull the ebrake Ill get a nice squeel noise towards the passenger rear
I opened up the rear drums today and sprayed some cleaner on them hoping they are just gunked up. I found something odd, not sure If this is my issue, the one spring "on the side making noise" seems to be pulled apart more then the other side. It also clicks on that side when I had my wife press the brakes on and off. Any ideas ? Thanks guys!
Good side

Bad side

Anything I can lube or check out at this point? Thanks a bunch

Also the manual is showing this spring as the return spring, makes me wonder, Honda only wants 4 bucks for it.
Still unsure if clicking sound coming from the spring though

the "clicking" you heard is probably the auto adjuster which moves the shoes wider as they wear down. Most likely you have something sticking due to corrosion or whatnot. Take apart your brakes (ONE SIDE AT A TIME) and lube the six spots on the back plate where the shoes ride and the Ebrake cable lever sometimes stick which can cause the shoes to stay spread and cause squeaking as well. Also the sticking may be your ebrake cables seizing. have someone work your ebrake slowly and release and make sure the shoes return completely to their rest position. sanding your brake shoes lightly will give them a new surface to bite into the drums. Perhaps they are glazed and that can cause a squeak. Make sure you "set up" your brake shoes before you put the wheels back on so that you have a good brake pedal feel and you dont over extend your wheel cylinders and they pop out and leak brake fuild everywhere.
Also if you think a spring is "stretched" it is time to replace your brake hardware.

Funny you say that, while testing it it poped out and shot fluid out
I got it back together though, please dont tell me its shot if it gets over extended!!
Also please note how the one spring is spread apart more then the other side

Dis the pedal feel softer after that? That can get air in your lines.

Actually have some goods, I put it all back together and no more screeching! Cleaned the hell out of it and greased the tabs. Pedal is a little softer, might have to rebleed, ugh, but good enough! Thanks for the feedback!
