Default 10W-30 for CR-V?

I have some amsoil 10W-30 synthetic left and was wondering if anyone used this oil weight for their car before? I have an 07 and it states 5W-20 for the motor.

I just don't want the amsoil to go to waste.

You shouldn't use 10W30 in i-vtec engines. Its too thick for the pump and VTC actuator. Honda recommends 5W20 for a reason.

You can use it sure. It isn't that much heavier. You may get a check engine light but probably not.
Why not just sell it on craigslist?
