Default OH great here we go......

So recently my car has been knocking. Ive checked the axels, boots, valves pretty much covered all the basics. It only knockes when its in neutral and the clutch is out. once the clutch is engauged the knocking stops. ive been reading through old threads and most knock when the clutch is engauged. any ideas guys? thanks

Exactly what I was thinking Casey.

That clutch you have is a bit notchy (I would know), and there's a good chance you jarred/shocked a motor mount loose. Or broke the mounting bolts on the driver side mount.

Byarrr... I think my R might be doing this too - I don't know if I'm just over-sensitive due to past problems, or if it's just that I don't know how to tell the sound difference between "knock" and "chatter". I, too, have an ACT clutch, and had one prior to this one (new one is only 1600 miles old). Not trying to thread jack or anything.

Hate to say it, but it's very likely. I had a Civic with a Type-R engine, with an unsprung ACT 6 puck/ACT XTREME pressure plate. The previous owner of the car ripped on it constantly, and thought wheel hop was funny, apparently. When the engine was pulled, it was barely hanging in there, all of the mounts had broken bolts, that luckily turned out no problem, with a screw driver and a hammer.

Cracked flywheel is always something to look for, although not common in Honda's.

It's common on many high performance cars with manual transmissions and the symptoms are the same you described.

Any resolution to this? I am experiencing a similar issue.
