Default Headlight cleaner

What works well to clean the outside of their headlights? I have heard of people using toothpaste and a stiff bristle brush. What about glass cleaner? doesn't seem like it would be strong enough. Can someone help me out

What i would do is buy some mother's stage 1 oxidization/pre wax cleaner and just put some on it and rub it in hard...that usually does the trick..

Worked wonders for me.

Edit: I used a whitening toothpaste.

meguiars plastix. Dab some on a sponge and start rubbing it in. It works a lot better with a polisher though

meguiars plastix is awesome. I used that only, no buffing/polishing/sanding and my 1-pieces looked brand new <3
