Default Plug oil squirters or no?

I doin an oem rebuild on a gsr that were gonna boost. Me and my roomate have had alot of discussions about oil squirters. Hes always sayin we need to keep the squirters. But ive heard of guys plugging them to up oil pressure. So basicaly im gonna do an oem rebuild on this and run boost on it and get it dyno tuned to about 350-400hp. So would it be more benefical to plug em. or would they help reduce the chance of detonation? Please dont turn this into a get forged internals and do it this kind of way because im already building a B18b for that purpose. This is just a motor to thrown in and have some fun with.

if your using forge pistons scrap the oil squirters because there main purpose is cooling the underside of the cast pistons

sorry but i didnt completely read the post if you plan on keeping the stock cast pistons for boost then keep the squirters

if you arent gonna stroke the engine then there is no reason to get rid of the squirters. the squirters are just extra insurance even with forged pistons. if your set on keeping cast pistons then i would say keep the squirters for sure.

ya there gonna be factory cast pistons on boost tryin to get to about 350+hp. So im guessing keeping them is a good idea.

you can keep them an you can make your goals pretty easily. but stock parts arent the best way to go when you want longevity tho

oh this motor just has to get me through the rest of this season, so as long as it can last about 3 months and it doesnt even get beat on other than the track. Street driving is kept to 3k rpm or less.

Only plug them for forged pistons, cast pistons need the oil squirters.
