b16b question
ok well im pretty new to hondas so i have a few questions. I got a eg off my buddy that has a b16b in it that has a rod knockin. Im going to be doing the rebuild myself at school. I have a ls crank and eagle rods and i was woundering if i could just put those in the b16b and use the ctr pistons? Will i have in valve clearance problems? i have buddy club spec 4 cams in it? Just woundering also what kind of hp numbers u think this setup would make? Thanks alot guys and hopefully you can anwser some of my questions for me.

bump any help would be awsome, also i was woundering what kind of bearings i should run in it. I know there like color coded but the ones in the b16b now are pink i believe but idk which ones i should use when putting in the ls crank and rods.
no you cant put stock Honda pistons onto Eagle rods. aftermarket rods are designed to use pistons that are held into place with circlips, Honda ones have pins that are pressed into the rods. so basicly nothing would be holding the piston/wrist pin in place, and it would fuckup the cylinder walls.
not only that im pretty sure you will have piston to head, and piston to valve issues with B16B/PCT pistons with that setup.
as for the bearings you will need to remeasure everything for the new crank/rods.

Yes, it will work but you will have to machine the piston or the rod to get it to fit.

and the pistons will be REALLY close to the head, not to mention the valves! be sure to clay the motor and check for valve to piston clearances!!!
