any single cam with a turbo will yield similar results.

my opinion, do something easy. drop in a d16a6 and si trans, turbo it... and have fun.

He said best so...

1) Find a D16xx block
2) Send it to yy
3) Get it sleeved
4) Take a D16xx head
5) Send it to ww to get it worked on
6) Put it back together.

"patrick1245" b-series and d-series have the same injectors..**** almost all honda 4cyl engines use the same 240cc engines except for a select few..

I agree with dr.latino, best would be sleeved with a built head,,period..

I dont understand when people say the motor pisses them off.

what's the difference? they'll both perform the same with a turbo.

that's a tired engine, not a d16a6 specific problem.

i got a little more experience than this guy.

not only that, but if i wanted a turbo motor, i'd have one.

the reason i said that, was because he wants to switch from a d16a6 to a d16z6. same **** pretty much..... both slow. waste of time in my opinion. just turbo the a6.... it'll be just as fast as any turbo sohc setup.

I would have to think that as long as you got a good tune on the a6 it would make for a strong pulling motor. Turboing the engine is going to be expensive, time consuming, and a bit painful. Why you would want to throw a swap in there to compound the situation is beyond me. Do some research on turbo models, find which one will best support/complement your displacement, then put it together with chrome/uberdata tune. Should get a nice running engine.

And to fix smoke problem, valve guide seals most likely. Maybe your rings suck as well. I would get that motor running fine without turbo before dropping cash and introducing another variable to how the car runs.

Good luck either way.

Mike
