oxygen sensor!
Got engine light on yestoday and was told by Autozone that it is an oxygen sensor gone which is "Bank 1 Sensor 2". Is it the one near the catalyst converter under the car?
My car is 97 Accord DX, is it the part number 36532-P0A-A01? Also my question is can I use an aftermarket part? Checked some website, found Denso sensor with part number 234-4601 with a much lower price than honda genuine one. Is it the same as Honda genuine one? It looks that Denso is really an original Honda part manufacturer (my dealer replaced rediator is made by Denso and it has Honda maker on it).

Yes, Bank 1 Sensor 2 is the one under the car, at the cat area on the 97.
The Denso part # 234-4601 is the same as the Honda OEM genuine part.
You can use aftermarket. I like Denso direct-fit O2 sensors.

i always like to save money so i bought the denso thats not the direct fit, and it was cake to install, simple instructions and a good solid connection kit. just my 2 cents the total cost me like 70 bucks and 2 beers!

If your CEL is still on reset your ECU by disconnecting your (-) negative battery cable for 30sec. That will reset the ECU memory and clear any codes stored there. This will also alow your ECU to recognize any new parts. If it comes back after reseting the ECU there is something still wrong.
