serious camber issues with 17's on a coupe
picked up a coupe last week and it needed wheels bad.. i threw a set of 17s on it but there is some serious camber issues with it.. mainly the LR wheel bows in alot. Would getting an alignment fix this issue or what? I can already see a decent amount of wear on the inside edge of the tire.
probably not a whole lot because civics don't have a camber adjuster. it will help out tho. alignment is the first thing you need to do. once that is the best that it can be you need to install a camber kit. you need to get it aligned first so you can see how far you need to adjust it. if it's only the rear that is out of camber specs than you can do the washer trick. that is all the rear camber kits are anyways. once you get it into specs or so you think you need to take it back to the alignment shop. Firestone has a lifetime alignment for like $160. there not the most accurate being that it's Firestone. but you pay the $160 and that's it for ever. i get my alignment checked at least once a month. the way i look at it is that the guy doing the alignment gets paid every time i go back to see him. and now we are tight so he makes sure it is right on for me every time. and it's an easy job for him every time now.
o and i feel for ya i just sold my 17" because if tire where and low profile tires are expensive. at a rate of 2 sets a year i had to get rid of them. the retarded thing is that i never liked the big rim band wagon. i get better performance out of my 15" potenza's than i did with 17" falcon... somethings. lol
