Camber Settings???? Going to Alignment shop next week... Need help
I'm about to take my Civic to get the Alignment done on it.
I'm not sure what to tell the alignment shop.. about the camber settings.
What should the camber settings be???
should I have it adjusted back to factory camber settings??
I'm not autox or anything.. This is my daily driver??
Thanks
DK

You can adjust the camber, unless you have a camber kit. You can get an alignment, and make sure you get the toe set back to the factory settings.

I do alignments bro. $89.00 with camber adjustments up front and we also fix rear camber by way of shimming too.
The specs for your car are as follows:
Front camber - -1.0 to +1.0
Rear Camber -2.0 to 0
Yes that means that you do NOT want 0 camber in the rear. Honda dials in about -.3 from the factory on the 99-00 Si. If you set it at 0 with the car lowerd with wider wheels/tires then you will scrub like crazy.
Want to get it done at my shop? It's a drive, but well worth it bro. Who will do yours? I hope they know what they're doing. We use the latest Hunter Laser heads and crapola - it's dead on.
Hit me up if you want it done.

Re: Camber Settings???? Going to Alignment shop next week... Need help (B18C5-EH2)
I do have front and Rear Camber kits.
If you were closer I would let you do the alignment. I just got new tires and did the 5 lug conversion so my alignment is way off.
I dont want to eat up my tires.. driving too far on them
I was thinking about getting
Front - 0 Degree.
Rear - -.5 Degree.
Do you think that would be good??

For a daily driver...
I would set it to at least -1 in front and at least -1 in the rear. Set TOE to ZERO in front and rear and you will have NO TIRE WEAR ISSUES.
Setting it to zero on a lowered car makes it handle like POO.
On a stock sprung and stock ride height civic, the car leans like crazy, causing the correct camber change for decent and predictable handling.
On a lowered civic with stiffer springs and hopefully shocks, setting the camber close to ZERO means that when taking turns, the car leans less and the camber change is less. This means that the load will be dispersed on the outside edges of your tires. That is POO.
I run -1.75 in front and -1.5 in the rear with zero toe all around. I drive hard and autox and my tires dont show any "camber" wear.
And this is the last time I am explaining this

I'm lowered almost 2" all around w/o camber kits. ~2.25 deg. neg. camber all around. Toe set to EXACT factory specs, regular tire rotation, and I've had NO tire wear problems in 17K miles since I lowered the car.
