Default What kind of oil filter fits in the 2007 si sedan?

The oil filter for the S2k does not work for this car. So is there any filters that work for this model car?

What's wrong with using an '07 Si filter? I use the Mobil 1 or K&N filters.

No point in using an S2k Filter... Stick with an oem one or decent aftermarket one.

Be careful of what you're listening to. What you heard is true for B-SERIES motors. They are larger than the B series ones but still fit them.

Actually the post about the oil filters with detailed pictures of them cut open comparing a honda filter to a napa gold/wix filter was deleted (most likely out of spite) by Type X... It basically showed how crappy two out of three honda filters are and why risk getting crap when you can put quality onto your car every time... The reason why according to type x - It did not have any relevent information that could possibly help anyone... Yet he kept my threads about motor oil, interesting... Why was the honda filter crappy? What was great about the Napa Gold/WIX filter and why have a since switched to Mobil1 filter? You will never know thanks to type x...

So thank type x for keeping you all clean and happy...

Cheers... haha...

Maybe X was just as sick about hearing of your built Neon (I still get a laugh out of this) as the rest of us were

The conversation with Type X and InitialMX5...
Still don't see how he should be the one to know what is or isn't good information When He implys that a post on oil filters is not "Tech Chat"

[22:19] InitialMX5: ok even if I was to agree with you right now...Which I'm not cause I think your still totally in the wrong...Why is that any reason to go and delete other forums that he has posted
[22:19] AlphaMaleNYC: forums?
[22:21] InitialMX5: The post he did about the honda oil filters...
[22:22] AlphaMaleNYC: not needed
[22:22] InitialMX5: how do you figure
[22:23] InitialMX5: There was great information in there and it was on the page for over a week almost two so why wait to delete it now
[22:23] InitialMX5: ???
[22:24] AlphaMaleNYC: is oil filter faq 06 civic specifica tech chat?
[22:24] AlphaMaleNYC: yes or no.?
[22:26] InitialMX5: Ugh Yeah...How is it not!!!

Eh, if that were true he should have deleted all my other posts I have made (especially my synthetic oil thread)... And you can bash the neon all you want, it was faster and handled way better then the current Si and that was five years ago...

You must be bitter because the SRT-4 makes you look bad huh? lol... Dont get me wrong, I like my 07 Si, but it cant touch my old Neon, especially my Supra...

Bitter of the SRT-4? Hardly. If I wanted a fast car with **** for refinement, I would just get an old muscle car and blow away the SRT-4 and probably still have a nicer interior. And I wouldn't compare a regular neon to an SRT-4, a base neon is just the **** of the ****.

This coming from someone with no actual Neon experience... My car had over 100k miles on it, raced monthly and currently has over 200k miles on with with the new owner...

The base neon was junk but do you know anything about the R/T or the ACR? I doubt it... It was SCCA car of choise for a reason...

From all the info I have gathered FRAM might be the very worst filter you could put on your car. Go to bobistheoilguy.com and type in Fram into the search engine. Those guys are very serious about oil.
