sometimes it will go days without doing it, sometimes it will do it 5 times a day, i will just be driving and the car will shut off. When i try to restart it, it will turn on and shut back off immediately and the only way to get it started is to mash the gas pedal at just the right time as try to restart it. Honda says it is the anti theft system and its $1,200, i was thinking more like injectors or fuel pump or fuel pump relay or something. Anyone have any ideas???????????

 

Sounds like the ignition switch. It was recalled.

Hate to make a repeat post, but third time's a charm...it's the ignition switch.

 

so it sounds like the consensus is the ignition switch and i did look up the numbers affected and it looks like mine was, thanks for ur input. i sure as hell wasnt about to give honda $1200 of my money
