Default H22a Problem HELP!!!

Ok so im driving on the highway at about 110-115...all off a sudden the car starts dying on me like there was no power?..check engin came on as soon as it was dying.....downshifted to 4th gear absolutely NO power what so ever and then the car dies......Looked under the hood..and nodessed the distributer was separated about a half inch or less from the head?!?!...couldn't start the car at all..and i know if i tighten up the 3 bolts that were loosend up could effect my timing?!...and cause BIG problems..

Could some one help me if this has a big effect on the motor?..or if you have any suggestions..!

Thx

Just put the dizzy back on correctly and tighten it up, it only goes on one way, it may be a tad big out of timing but just aim somewhere for the middle and use a timing gun to set timing l8r.

of course it is going to effect the engine, the exhaust cam lost contact with the distributor........

check the distributor shaft, and the key way in the cam to see if it got chewed up when it popped off. hopefully thats all fine. if so, throw it back in, check the timing and hope she works,
